President's Newsletter - October 2024

Hey IDS-DFW Family,

Wow, what a whirlwind September has been! Our National Conference in Santa Fe was absolutely amazing. A huge thank you to all of our incredible sponsors, inspiring speakers, our national leadership team, and, of course, to all of our DFW members who made the trip. It was such a memorable experience, and I'm so proud of all we learned and accomplished together. A big congratulations to all of the award winners, especially those from Dallas-Fort Worth—you continue to make our chapter shine!

Now that we're officially stepping into the holiday months, we're gearing up for our last few meetings of 2024. First up, mark your calendars for October 10th at Sunnyland Outdoor for a fun and interactive event—Human Bingo! What's Human Bingo, you ask? You'll have to join us to find out! It's going to be a blast, and we'd love to see you there.

Then, in November, Day Drapery & Design Elements will host our next meeting. We'll enjoy a fantastic happy hour while diving into the world of window treatments. You'll leave with some great takeaway tips and knowledge to use in your selections and ordering processes—definitely one you won't want to miss!

I'm also excited to announce that our 2025 Executive Slate will be revealed this month, with the general election held at the November meeting. Not on the executive slate or the 2025 board? No worries! There are still plenty of ways to get involved! Consider joining one of our committees like Philanthropy, Student Liaison, Special Events, or Programming—just to name a few. It's a great way to contribute and stay engaged with our amazing community.

I can't wait to see everyone at these upcoming events and wrap up 2024 with more fun, learning, and connecting with our IDS-DFW family!
